The student organization "Sunny" is composed of high school and university students, and it holds a monthly international exchange event called Hinata Bokko in Beppu City, targeting elementary school students. The organization’s name, "Sunny," reflects its desire to be a bright and cheerful presence for children.
In the first half of each event, a specific country is featured as the theme, and international students from APU are invited as volunteers. This allows children to learn about new cultures and customs through interaction, promoting intercultural understanding.
This month's event is titled "Let’s Learn About Christmas Around the World," where international students from various countries will introduce how Christmas is celebrated in their home countries. In the second half of the event, participants will engage in a fun activity—making snow globes. Through these international exchanges and new challenges, we hope to broaden the horizons of the children!
