On behalf of Support for Sisters, we would like to extend a warm invitation to all APU students to attend a public report presentation and meeting regarding our on-going period poverty awareness campaign.
As you may already be aware, Support for Sisters aims to address the pressing issue of period poverty among students. Over the past semester, our dedicated team has been working tirelessly to raise awareness, provide access to menstrual hygiene products, and create a supportive environment for individuals facing period-related challenges across campus. We believe that fostering an inclusive and supportive university community is crucial, and we greatly value the support we have received from the university thus far. We have been receiving generous support and funding from the Project Type B Student Office.
However, as Project B is a year-long funding program, our funding support will end by the end of this semester. It would be a great loss for the student body if students no longer have access to free menstrual products across campus due to the lack of proper funding.
Hence, the purpose of this presentation and meeting is to propose to the university to continue funding our program to be able to continue for the next semester as well. We will share the progress we have made, highlight the impact of our campaign, and discuss future plans for our program.
