APU Amazing Race

About seven years ago in 2015,world leaders launched the sustainable development goals with various targets which include access to basic quality education for all children to be achieved by 2030.However, there millions of children that still donot have access to basic education like the 239 school-age children that currently do not have access to basic learning programs and formal education in the Bassa-Point village,Liberia.The Martha Mission for Africa ,a student led organization in APU has been working to help raise funds to build a conducive learning centre where children in Bassa-Point to have access to basic education and knowledge in a suitable learning environment. In order to successfully implement this project ,we need the support of all people, including individuals,public institutions, and cities alike.
The ‘APU Amazing Race ‘is one of the first charity fundraiser event that aims to bring together local citizens of Beppu and students of APU through sport.All funds generated from the event will go toward Building Children’s Learning Centre Project in Liberia.We want to create fun and creative events that will deepen relationships and cooperation between people from diverse backgrounds,most especially between students of APU and Local people in Beppu, whilst taking actions to enhance the support for children’s education in Africa(SDG4).
