Neon Genesis Evangelion is a popular anime both here in Japan and around the world.
Today one university student will become a myth. He will cosplay as the main character of
Neon Genesis Evangelion, Shinji Ikari, and perform two songs on this stage. We hope even
those people who aren’t familiar with Evangelion will enjoy it. After this performance ends,
it’s time to say goodbye, or sayonara. But please remember, that the word “sayonara” is
just a magic spell that will enable us to meet again someday, hopefully here on the APU
campus. Thanks to everyone who came to this performance and Shinji, thank you for riding
on Evangelion!
