Hi everyone, we are APU Mai “Raku”. Mai "Raku" is a traditional Japanese dance circle that practiced
and performed 2 kinds of dances originating from Iwate prefecture to preserve the traditional dances
and Japanese values. Currently, we practice on Monday 6 th 7 th period and Wednesday 4 th 5 th period at
Cafeteria’s 2 nd floor. Dancing experience is not required to join Mai “Raku”. In fact, almost all members
of Mai “Raku” learn to dance for the first time. Each instrument will have different movements, so
please pay attention to see those differences!
