APU Surf / Marine Circle

We are a newly established club focused on surfing, marine sports, and environmental conservation.

Whether you want to try surfing, love the ocean, or simply want to make new friends, everyone is welcome regardless of experience level!

Our main activities include surfing trips to the beaches of Oita and Miyazaki, land-based training sessions, and beginner-friendly lessons. Activities are mainly held on weekends and holidays, approximately 2–3 times per month. We also plan to organize training camps and special events during long vacations.

In addition to surfing, we actively participate in environmental conservation through monthly beach cleanups. Members can enjoy the ocean while contributing to the protection of marine environments for future generations.

Taking advantage of APU’s international environment, we aim to create a club where both domestic and international students can participate comfortably. Activities are conducted in both English and Japanese, encouraging cross-cultural friendships and exchange.

We are currently receiving support from the local marine shop BUZZ, helping us create a safe and welcoming environment for beginners.

We will also hold social events and gatherings to help members connect and build friendships outside of surfing activities.
