Sau E Siva

Art and Culture

Activity

"Sau E Siva" is established to celebrate, preserve and share the vibrant cultural heritage of Polynesia, particularly Samoan dance within the diverse and inclusive community of Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU). The club aims to foster cross-cultural understanding through traditional and contemporary Polynesian performance arts, while providing a creative space for both Polynesian and non-Polynesian students to learn, express, and appreciate the richness of Pacific Island cultures. In line with APU's mission of shaping global citizens and promoting multicultural coexistence, "Sau E Siva" encourages intercultural dialogue, unity through rythm and movement, and respect for indigenous knowledge and traditions. Through workshops, performances and collaborations, we seek to connect students from various backgrounds, build cultural bridges and empower voices from the Pacific.
