APU Latin language Club(APU Latinum)

Academic

Activity

The Latin Language Club will actively embrace APU's multicultural environment by offering activities that are beginner-friendly and accessible to speakers of any language background. All sessions will be conducted in English, with visual aids and bilingual support (e.g., Japanese and English translations) to ensure comprehension. Latin, being a neutral and non-native language for all, allows members from any nationality to start from the same point, creating an inclusive atmosphere. Materials will include visual guides and simplified notes for non-native English speakers. Discussions about Latin’s influence on different languages will naturally invite cultural exchange and help members draw connections to their native tongues. The club will also encourage members to present how Latin connects to their home country's language or history, fostering global dialogue and intercultural understanding.
