WOSO

We are "WOSO," a student film production circle at APU! Our mission is to spark interest in Beppu through our films and share Japan’s unique cinematic culture with a broader audience. In today’s interconnected world, we believe Japanese film deserves more global recognition. We are excited to bring to APU's diverse community not just anime and manga but the rich, expressive storytelling unique to Japan.

In our productions, we explore traditional Japanese expression, blending it with elements from Western cinema to create films that fuse various styles. "WOSO" means "Jolt/Shake," and with the motto "Creating films that move hearts," we are dedicated to making works that resonate with viewers and offer fresh perspectives.
